Free Printable Halloween Apothecary Labels

OK, so I took a few years off from making printables. I really missed my more creative side, so I gave myself a fun project to ease back into making party printables again. I've always envied those cool vintage apothecary labels created by other artists. So I thought I'd try my hand at them. And Halloween really lends itself to this old-timey look, as if they've been sitting around for centuries.

Scroll down to the PINK link further down on the page to download the files.

There are two sets of each format: rectangular and circular. One is Witch's Brew and the other is Bone Rejuvenation Tonic. Each is provided in multiple sizes so you can use them in different ways. Scroll down to the Tips section for some suggestions.

I had a lot of fun making these. The tag lines "Extra Bony Formula" and "Reliably Witchy" make me laugh every time I see them. :-)

Tips

In addition to using these for the obvious purpose, as Halloween decorations on bottles or beakers, there are a lot of other things you can do with them:

  • The round labels come in standard paper punch sizes. Punches are the easiest way to cut them. The labels measure 3-inch, 2 1/2-inch, 2-inch, 1 1/4-inch and 1-inch. (The previous sponsored links go to the appropriately sized punches on Amazon.)
  • They can be glued onto plastic or paper cups for a Halloween party.
  • The round labels can be used as cupcake toppers.
  • The rectangle labels can be used on the front of small paper or plastic bags to make Halloween treat bags. The circles can also be used on the front of bags or to seal the backs.
  • The rectangles can be used to create a banner by punching small holes in the corners and stringing or tying them together. You could also try that with the circles but my experience with trying to use small circles for a banner is that they flip around. But making them two-sided would solve that problem.
2020 Update: I wasn't entirely happy with the first version of the rectangular versions. So I went back to the electronic drawing board and made some changes. I hope you like them and find them useful.

  9. Your labels on Dropbox are still available, but the other, "Witches Brew" are not, as I got an "internal server error" when I clicked on the link. :(

    1. You might have a pop-up blocker or some other issue with your computer, because I just tried it and it downloaded immediately as a zip file. Try another browser if you can. If that doesn't work, send me an email to the address on the contact page listed at the top of the site and I'll email you the file.
