The artist who drew these cutie-patootie flying cats probably didn't expect for them to end up on printable graduation party invitations. Or graduation cupcake toppers either, for that matter. But I thought they were perfect for that use because they exemplify the theme "onward and upward." And graduation is one of those iconic events in life that definitely fits that category.

I made these printables in two forms, which I hope will make them useful to more people: one has lines on which to write (or add electronically) your party particulars and the other has a blank area where you can add whatever text you want using text boxes in MS Word, or a graphics program, such as Photoshop Elements (the program I use, which happens to be $30 off on Amazon as of the date of this post) or one of these free graphics programs.

The two invitation templates are in one zip file. If you need zip software, 7Zip is free and open source.

So if you're looking for cheap graduation party invitations, you've come to the right place. You can't get much cheaper than free (although you do have to factor in ink and card stock). And this design comes with equally cheap cupcake toppers, which can also be used as table scatters, banners or envelope and treat bag seals. (Tip: print the topper template on a full-sized sheet of adhesive label stock and then cut out the circles. This will keep you from having to individually glue each one.)
