This colorful luau invitation template has everything most people think of when it comes to a Hawaiian luau theme: bright tropical colors, a tiki totem, hibiscus flowers, palm trees and crashing waves on the beach. It also has a touch of the unexpected -- an escaped pink flamingo that wandered into the design from a Florida beach party invitation I was working on. :-)

To make the final product even more festive, I added some glitter glue to the printed version, shown above. I've tried all kinds of glitter glue, because I'm fairly obsessed with it. And I always come back to Elmer's 3D glitter pens. In fact, I bought the teacher's multi-pack, because I use them so much. They're the best. I would play with them all day if I didn't have anything else to do! A note of caution though: don't use too much. Less is definitely more when it comes to glitter glue. As you'll see in the example above, I used it to highlight the palm tree leaves, the tiki totem's eyes and to add just a few other small dabs of sparkle.

The 5" x 7" horizontal design gives you plenty of room to write the location, which in this case may be some exotic island! 6. Thank you so much for sharing these super fun printables! I will be using these for a no-budget, annual elementary school staff appreciation luncheon- in central NY where it's still snowing! I have to rely completely on donations. I LOVE the invite, but sadly, the wording doesn't work for this event. Just wondering if I could get the Hawaiian Luau invitation with no white writing or lines on it?

I love this invitation also but am in a similar situation as Karen. Is there anyway I could get it without any of the white lettering and lines? If not, could you tell me which font and size was used? Thanks so much.
