Thanksgiving Dinner Invites

free printable Thanksgiving invites

Looking for free printable Thanksgiving invites? I'm a little biased but I think these are some real beauties. That's because this autumn pumpkin watercolor art from Creative Fabrica is simply stunning. It would have been hard to make something that wasn't attractive with such pretty art. I've always been envious of people who can paint well with watercolors. Unfortunately, it's not a talent I possess. But I can give you some suggestions on how to use these templates. Just scroll down to the Tips section below.

This art also comes with a matching free wineglass lampshade. You can see a photo of it below. And if you look hard on the lampshade page you'll find the matching set of place cards and napkin rings I placed there. I created the designs but ran out of time to do the photography and write separate posts for them. But I didn't want them to go to waste so I linked them from that page. If you find them, they're yours to use to make your holiday table prettier.

If you need a program to unzip the zip file that contains the templates, 7Zip is free.

Tips

  • In case you didn't see it, the link to downoload the art is in pink (large-sized) near the top of the page.
  • If you're looking for a Thanksgiving invitation template for Word, see my Holiday Chalkboard page. It not only gives suggestions and links for how to use Microsoft Word for artwork of this size (proportioned to 5" x 7") but it also provides links to five free graphics programs you can use instead. And you might even want to use that kit for either Christmas or New Year parties. The pine cone graphics are flexible enough for either holiday and the chalkboard art is really fun.
  • If you need help developing the verbiage, visit this page, which has sample wording. That site also has a search that will allow you to look for wording for virtually any event or holiday.
  • Because I'm sure you don't have enough to do for the holiday (yeah, right), why not embellish the printed art with some bling? Just small touches of Sparkle Mod Podge or Extreme Glitter Mod Podge can give the flowers leaves and pumpkin a bit of sheen and interest. But when I say small, I mean small. Mod Podge brings a lot to the party but a little goes a long way. And either instead of the Mod Podge or in addition to it, you can place tiny rhinestones at the center of each flower.
  • Although this suggestion might seem like "thanks, Captain Obvious," a paper cutter would be very helpful when cutting these printables. If you don't have one and don't want to buy one, you can take your stack of printed paper to the office supply store or instant print center and have them cut them. At most places, this service costs next to nothing.
